Here are a few pictures from our Easter celebration on Saturday. The Easter Bunny brought the girls a few little treats in their Easter Basket and then they went outside for a little egg hunt (Mikayla's one request for and Easter treat was a chocolate bunny, and Mikkel wanted jelly beans, so that's what they got). The girls got some sidewalk chalk shaped like Easter eggs and that was Mikkel's favorite. She's learned that when you get the chalk nice and wet the colors become bright and bold! She wore down a few chalk eggs down to a nub. Mikayla loved hiding and re-hiding the eggs for everyone to find. Later in the afternoon, we packed a picnic and drove north of town to find a place to hike and have lunch. We drove out to the Red Knoll and had a great time. We hiked up to a nice little spot with beautiful views. The weather was slightly cold and we did get rained on a little but it was perfect! We had a great adventure. Then we rented a few movies and kicked back to relax. It was a wonderful day.
