New Additions! :o)

Well, we actually got kittens last weekend. Kris and I had talked about getting a cat to help exterminate mice. We had mice in our garage this winter and they got into a little bit of our food storage and had we had a cat, that wouldn't have happened. So, we talked about it and decided we should get a cat. While we were in St. George last weekend we say a guy standing outside a store giving kittens aways. We had to take a peek. Since we had already talked about it, it was easy to make the decision. We picked out two little sisters and off we went. They have been perfect little house guests. They are excellent at using the litter box, they play, eat, and sleep. They warmed up to us really well. The kittens and Indy, on the other hand, didn't warm up so nicely. The instant the kittens saw Indy they froze into the classic arched-back pose. Their hair was sticking straight up and they did a lot of hissing. Indy wanted to chase them. I hope they can learn to be friends.

We must be feeling a little like Farmer Jed because we are also getting chicks this week. We've ordered them and they should be here sometime this week. We've always wanted chickens so we could have fresh eggs. Now all we need is a milk cow and we'll have a farm! :o)
