Happy 4th of July!

As you can see, we had a GREAT 4th of July! It all actually started the night before when we camped out in the backyard. We set the tent up, made tinfoil dinners and enjoyed the nice evening. That was a tradition that Kris and his family did and so we have been doing it for the last several years. Then on the morning of the 4th we woke up to the "Canon's" booming through town. We then hit the bikes and rode to the gazebo for the Fun Run! We switched the bike trailer to a jogger and we were off for our 2.5 mile walk. Mikayla and Mikkel came in 3rd and 4th place for their age division! They have cute little red, white, and blue ribbons to remember their win. While there at the Gazebo we set out some blankets to save us a spot for the parade. We rode home, cleaned up and rode back up to the parade. It was a fun parade and Mikayla really enjoyed it. Mikkel slept through most of it but enjoyed what she did see of it. After the parade we rode up to the park where they had games, booths, etc. The girls started getting ready for a nap so we hit the pavement, came home and all took a rest. Then at 6:00 pm we went to the park for the dinner and enjoyed the entertainment. The music was loud and Mikkel wanted to sleep so we left the park and ended up hanging out with Mike and Diane Downward and watching the fireworks from Mike's parent's home. It was a lot of fun! The 4th of July in Kanab is really enjoyable.
